Our Guide to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Our Guide to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The event kicked off August 31st and will run until November 13th.  The annual culinary event offers guests the opportunity to try delicious new food and drinks from around the world. If you are a returning visitor or you are attending the Food & Wine Festival for the first time, here is a guide to help you make the most out of your experience:

Global Marketplaces

From Morocco to Japan, there are global marketplaces located throughout the park with delicious local food from the country you are in. To enjoy the food and beverage samples at the marketplace, you will need to make a separate purchase as it is not included in your entry ticket.

If you would like gluten-free items, look for the (GF) mark next to the food item on the menu. If you are visiting with the little ones, be on the lookout for Mickey Check signs. Foods with the Mickey Check are specially designed for kids and meet Disney nutrition guides.

For chocolate lovers, check out the Chocolate Studio and be delighted with sweet dark chocolate raspberry tortes or chocolate-almond truffles. For beer lovers, do not miss out on the Brewer’s Collection to get a taste of Europe’s best brews. Finally, make sure to check out the Wine & Dine studio where you can sample an array of white, red and rose wine from the country’s most famous vineyards. If you are over 21, bring your ID as it will be required to purchase alcoholic beverages in the park.

Eat to the Beat

From pop to rock, no matter what genre of music you are in to, make certain to take in this year’s nightly performances. This year’s performers include the Plain White T’s, Lauren Alaina, David Cook, and Sugar Ray, among many other talented artists. If you want a list of the performers for each night, check out the full list here.

Culinary Demonstrations

You will be able to enter the event with the purchase of your Epcot ticket. However, food and drinks are not included and there are additional costs for special Food and Wine Festival events, such as special demonstrations and talks. Your trip to the International Food & Wine festival would not be complete without attending culinary demonstrations from renowned chefs from around the world.

On select days, with the purchase of a ticket for the specific event, you can eat, drink and listen to culinary tips and tricks from gourmet VIP experts. Check out the official page for dates and times.

TimesGuide & Passport

Grabbing a TimesGuide for times and information about the various events happening that day you are visiting can make your day magical. You should also grab a Passport to find your way around the park and the different events.

Download the My Disney Experience App to make reservations and avoid missing out on your favorite restaurants. Restaurants book very quickly so book in advance and call one-day prior to your reservation if you wish to cancel.

Meet the Chefs

This is your chance to meet your favorite chefs and see them in action. There will be celebrity chefs and personalities from Walt Disney World Resort as well as renowned chefs from around the world on select dates. Along with chefs that come to the event annually, there will be 7 new chefs visiting the event this year, including Chad Johnson, Daniella Malfitano, and Jet Tila.
